ところで、ここで言う「かげろう」は昆虫の「蜉蝣」ですよね？💦
ゆらゆら揺れる「陽炎」だとも取れるので、どちらが正解なのかなと思いまして...（英訳は「mayfly（蜉蝣）」としました）

I did a cover of Gamu's "Ai wa kagerou(Love is mayfly)".
Because this song is strong impression that it is played by piano, especially intro and interlude, it may be a bit different what you imagined.💦
By the way, a Japanese way of reading of both "mayfly(蜉蝣)" and "heat haze(陽炎)" is same "kagerou".
I think that both is a correct answer in terms of its lyrics meaning.
I chose "mayfly(蜉蝣)", but I don't know if it's correct...😅
